Ranbir Kapoor Opens Up About His Secret Instagram Account
Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor made a surprising revelation at a recent event in Dubai — he has a secret Instagram account, often called a “finsta,” but with zero followers!
The actor attended the launch event of DAMAC Islands 2, the latest luxury property project by DAMAC Developers, along with his wife and actor Alia Bhatt.
When asked if he uses Instagram, Ranbir said:
“I’m not officially on Instagram. I have a finsta account. There are such amazing people doing inspirational stuff, and you do want to follow them. But because I’m an actor, I didn’t want to officially be on Instagram.”
“Movies Are Enough to Show Myself to the World”
Ranbir added that he doesn’t feel the need to be active on social media because his acting is his way of connecting with the audience.
“Then I have a responsibility to really show myself off to the world, and I felt that I already have a medium — my movies. That’s enough for me to show who I am.”
The Animal actor also joked that he has been asked the same question for years:
“I’ve been asked this so many times. I keep giving different answers because otherwise, I’ll sound boring.”
Ranbir & Raha’s Private Reel Moment
During the chat, Ranbir also revealed that he once made an Instagram Reel with his daughter Raha — but no one has seen it.
His wife Alia Bhatt jumped in and said,
“He wouldn’t even let me follow him! He says if I follow him, everyone will find out. He’s got like two Reels that only he and two people can see.”

The couple lit up the DAMAC event when they danced to “Badtameez Dil” from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) — a film that remains a fan favorite.
Ranbir looked dapper in a blue suit and white shirt, while Alia dazzled in a golden outfit, exuding effortless charm and glamour.
