Despite consistent awareness campaigns, cybercrime continues to rise in India, sparing no one — not even celebrities. Recently, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar shared a chilling personal experience involving his 13-year-old daughter, Nitara, highlighting the urgent need for cyber safety education.
Speaking at the Inauguration of Cyber Awareness Month, the actor revealed that his daughter was subjected to obscene messages while playing an online mobile game.

Akshay narrated the incident:
“My daughter was playing a video game on mobile. Suddenly, a person on the other side said, ‘From where are you?’ and she replied, ‘Mumbai’. Initially, he sent polite messages like, ‘Well played’ and ‘You’re doing good’. But soon after, he asked, ‘Are you male or female?’ and then wrote, ‘Can you send me a nude picture of yours?’ My daughter immediately switched off the phone and told my wife about it.”
The 58-year-old actor emphasized that even seemingly harmless interactions can quickly turn dangerous online. He further added that mandatory cyber safety sessions in schools are essential to protect children from such predators.
