Kantara Chapter 1 Hindi Box Office Update (Day 1 Advance Booking)
After the historic success of Kantara (2022), Rishab Shetty is back with its much-awaited prequel, Kantara Chapter 1, hitting theatres worldwide on October 1, 2025. The film, touted as a period mythological action drama, is already creating buzz, but its Hindi advance bookings tell a different story.
According to early reports by Sacnilk, Kantara Chapter 1 (Hindi) has sold tickets worth ₹50,000 for its opening day. While this may appear underwhelming compared to expectations, the film still holds the potential to pick up momentum post-release.

Back in 2022, Kantara (Hindi) opened with ₹1.27 crore and later went on to become a super-hit, collecting ₹81.1 crore lifetime. The challenge for the prequel is clear – it needs to cross ₹1.27 crore on day 1 to beat its predecessor’s opening mark.
2025 has already witnessed South Indian films like Coolie and Game Changer making waves in the Hindi belt. More recently, Teja Sajja’s Mirai opened at ₹1.75 crore, setting a benchmark for dubbed releases. For Kantara Chapter 1, surpassing these figures won’t be easy, but positive word-of-mouth may change the tide.
