Magoo, one half of the rap duo Timbaland & Magoo, has sadly passed away at the age of 50. The news was first shared by Digital Black, a member of the group Playa, who posted a tribute to Magoo on his Instagram page. He expressed his disbelief and sorrow, stating that he was not prepared for this loss. Ginuwine, another artist, also appeared to pay tribute to Magoo, urging everyone to cherish their loved ones.

Timbaland & Magoo formed their rap group in 1989 when they were teenagers. They gained recognition for their single “Up Jumps Da Boogie” and went on to release three albums. Their collaboration with Missy Elliott was particularly notable. In 2021, their entire catalogue was re-released by Blackground Records and Empire Distribution, allowing their music to reach a wider audience through streaming platforms.

Magoo was not forgotten in the world of Hip Hop. In May 2020, he received recognition, although it created some controversy with Timbaland. A Twitter user shared a negative opinion about Magoo’s rapping skills, but many people defended him, emphasizing that his talent was appreciated during his prime.

The cause of Magoo’s death has not been disclosed, and no official statements have been released by his family or Timbaland. Our thoughts and condolences go out to Magoo’s loved ones during this difficult time.
