Coronation Street aired a surprising appearance from Damon Hay in Monday’s episode. The episode was filled with shocking moments for Sarah and Adam Barlow, as Sarah finally confessed to her husband that Damon Hay is the father of her child. The couple had planned a gender reveal announcement, but when Sarah opened the package containing the results, she discovered a white balloon with “It’s Damon’s” written on it. Adam admitted that he was responsible for the hurtful surprise and stormed out of the house, on the verge of a panic attack. Sarah chased after him but had to admit that he was right about Damon being the father. Despite begging for another chance, Adam insisted their marriage was over.
During the chaos, viewers heard from Damon twice on the phone. Sarah received an unknown call and stepped away from Adam to answer it, only to discover Damon on the other end. He pleaded for Sarah to listen to him, but she hung up and ordered him never to call again. Shortly after, Damon called again while Sarah was at work, saying, “I miss you.” Sarah cut him off once more, vowing to block his number and any unknown callers.
Damon had recently been chased out of Weatherfield by Adam when he discovered the affair between Damon and Sarah. Adam became worried that he may have inadvertently caused Damon’s death by informing local gangsters about him, but it was revealed that Damon is alive and well. The question remains whether this is the last we will see or hear from Damon.
