Ek Villain Returns has done better than expected in the first weekend at the box office. In three days, the film has earned Rs 22 crore at the domestic box office, while its earnings in the foreign market have surprised. On Sunday, the film starring Arjun Kapoor, John Abraham, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria did a business of Rs 8.25 crore. This is an increase of 22.22 percent over the opening day.Ek Villain Returns, directed by Mohit Suri, is a sequel to the 2014 film Ek Villain. This new film has not got the same response as the first film in theatres, but the way Bollywood films are getting beaten up these days, the mass audience has definitely shown some faith in ‘Ek Villain Returns’. Interestingly, the film, which earned Rs 6.75 crore on Opening Day, could only earn Rs 7 crore at the ticket window on Saturday. In such a situation, there were not many expectations from the film on Sunday. But in UP, Bihar, the film has done a good business on Sunday. The film has earned the highest from Uttar Pradesh at the box office in three days. After this, good earnings have come from Gujarat and Bihar.

This romantic-thriller film of Mohit Soor has surprised the foreign box office earnings. The film is doing great business in the UK as well as in the Gulf countries. On the very first day, the film had earned $3,25,000 overseas. In Indian rupees it is more than Rs 2 crore 57 lakh. In the UK, the film did a business of 40 thousand pounds on the first day, which is more than the earnings of ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’. Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ did a business of 37 thousand pounds on the first day in the UK.
