new Delhi: Through ‘Gandhi Godse – Ek Yudh’, the director has brought two opposite ideologies face to face. Director Rajkumar Santoshi has tried to give him the opportunity that time did not give him to keep his point through the film.
‘Gandhi Godse – Ek Yudh’ is a fictional story in which Mahatma Gandhi survives the attack. Then he meets Nathuram Godse in jail. Seeing the teaser, it is clear that an attempt has been made to show the battle of two different ideologies through the film.
In one scene, Mahatma Gandhi is seen saying, ‘If this world and humanity is to be saved, then violence has to be abandoned.’ In the second scene, Nathuram Godse tells Gandhi, ‘The biggest weapon you have is fast unto death, which you use repeatedly to make people agree. This is also a kind of violence, mental violence. Let us tell you that the film will hit the theaters on January 26.
The story of the film takes the audience to the era of 1947-48. Chinmay Mandlekar, Deepak Antani, Arif Zakaria and Pawan Chopra have played important roles in the film. Two new actors are making their Bollywood debut through the film. This is the first film of Tanisha Santoshi and Anuj Saini. The music of the film is given by AR Rahman and Rajkumar Santoshi along with famous writer Asghar Wajahat has written the film. The film will clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ at the box office.
