Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, starring Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Rohit Saraf, and Sanya Malhotra, has finally arrived in theatres today, October 2, 2025. The film witnessed a massive surge in pre-release buzz, and advance booking reports suggest a fantastic start at the ticket windows.

According to Sacnilk, the romantic comedy registered ₹2.86 crore gross (excluding blocked seats) in advance bookings, selling over 81,000 tickets across India. In just 24 hours, the film showed an impressive 146% jump in pre-sales, with Maharashtra emerging as the top-performing region, followed by Delhi, Gujarat, and Karnataka.
The film is clashing with Jolly LLB 3 and Kantara Chapter 1 (Hindi) but has managed to secure a strong hold. Thanks to the Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra holiday, spot bookings are expected to grow significantly, further boosting its day 1 performance.
Beats Biggies In Pre-Sales
Shashank Khaitan’s directorial has already beaten several Bollywood heavyweights. It surpassed Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2 (₹1.84 crore), Sunny Deol’s Jaat (₹2.59 crore), and Ajay Devgn’s Son Of Sardaar 2 (₹2.77 crore) in advance booking numbers.
Double-Digit Opening Expected?
The initial word-of-mouth has been positive, with audiences calling the film “entertaining and refreshing.” With the added holiday boost and family-friendly genre, trade experts predict that Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari could comfortably enter the double-digit opening club at the Indian box office.
This sets the stage for Dharma Productions’ film to kickstart its theatrical journey on a high note.
