The actor said that some of the recently released films have been affected by the boycott culture, which could have done well at the box office. Sunil has said this amidst the increasing trend of boycott of Bollywood films and stars on social media. Aamir Khan’s ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’ faced boycotts and both the films failed to do well at the box office.

While Aamir’s film collected 45.83 crores in five days, Akshay Kumar’s film earned around 37.50 crores in a week. Both ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ and ‘Raksha Bandhan’ were released on August 11.

However, it seems people are not happy with the themes of the films these days, that’s why we are going through such a tough time. Hope this will be considered. Initially, it seemed like a one-time event, but now we are constantly seeing that people are not coming to the theatres. I cannot give any single reason why this is happening.
