Directed by Farah Khan, the film also starred Zayed Khan, Amrita Rao, Suniel Shetty, Sushmita Sen in lead roles. Zayed Khan played the half-brother of Shahrukh Khan in the film. It will not be wrong if it is called the only superhit film of Zayed’s career. While casting Zayed in this film, Shah Rukh asked him a question that no acting person would ever want to hear.
Zayed made his Bollywood debut in 2003 opposite Esha Deol in the film ‘Chura Liya Hai Tumne’. Zayed Khan wanted Farah Khan to choreograph a song for him in the film but when he met Farah, he got the role of Lucky in Main Hoon Na with Shah Rukh. Talking to ‘Pinkvilla’ about this, he said, ‘I went to Farah and she did not know me properly. I used to introduce myself as Sanjay Khan’s son and Fardeen Khan’s brother. I met him at Shahrukh’s office. Farah asked me what I am doing so I told that I am working in a film. After that she told me that she can cast me in her next film.

Regarding his meeting with Shahrukh Khan, Zayed said, ‘He is a very gentle man. He made me sit and asked – how are you going? We are looking for someone in the second lead for the film and Farah says you can be a good choice. But brother know one thing, do you know acting? This question of Shahrukh got me a little upset. I got a little nervous but then said in response that I was made for acting only. After that I got that film.
