Day addressing media workforce right through the development, Kamal Haasan and Shankar mentioned how they determined to loose the movie in two pieces.
Kamal narrated that splitting ‘Indian 2’ into two pieces and deciding to loose ‘Indian 3’ going forward used to be purely a director’s selection. Director Shankar’s accent at Indian 2 trailer

“On day one, I’ve told my crew that this is going to be in two parts. We embark on a journey today to make two films. You’ll be paid as such. But I’ll be shooting sporadically back and forth between the two films,” Kamal added. He believes within the determination that Mr. Shankar has made. Nobody has to lead him on that as he had a company trust about his script and its field.
“There are many competent directors who are waiting for the right producer to make one film. He got the opportunity to make two. Why not use it? That’s what he must have thought. That’s what I think,” Kamal concluded.
Shankar defined that phase one best revolves round one order. That phase one itself is a three-hour, 20-minute movie. However now the tale spreads everywhere the rustic to the entire states. So naturally, the tale turned into large. “Actually, our initial idea was to do only one part. After I started filming and when I sat in the editing room, all the scenes from my point of view came out very well. If, for the sake of it, you have to make it in one part, if I compressed the whole thing, the soul of each and every scene, the feel of every scene would have been lost,” Shankar clarified.
He concept that the entire scenes appeared excellent and weren’t uninteresting. “I was able to see there are two parts in that story and each part has its own strength, whole form, engaging scenes, and a start, a body, and a climax and finish. So it evolved automatically into two parts,” he discussed.
Kamal additional liked the efforts of each the manufacturers and the director of the movie. “The tenacity of purpose of both the director and the producer has to be applauded even before the film becomes a hit. That I owe to them. So this is that applause for them because it’s very easy to let go. Let me leave this and go to another one. They didn’t do that because all of us were working, we had other films to do, and even he had other films but not to let go of the child, not to orphan this child was a decision taken by Lyca Productions and Mr. Shankar.”
‘Indian 2’ can be spared in theaters on July 12.
