The song, composed by AR Rahman, was shot in a moving train.

Interestingly, Malaika was not the first choice for this song. Five actresses refused to perform on the song. This anecdote has been shared by choreographer-director Farah Khan, who said that all five actresses – Shilpa Shetty, Shilpa Shirodkar and two-three other actresses had refused to dance on this song.

In the opening episode of Malaika’s show ‘Moving In With Malaika’, Malaika’s dear friend Farah Khan Kunder will narrate a friendly journey. Please tell that Malaika has made OTT debut with this show. Both the artists talked about many things remembering the old days. Talking about the song ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’, Farah said, ‘You are a ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ girl, but luckily for you five heroines refused to board the train.’

‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ was shot on top of a moving train. All the actresses had their own reasons for not saying yes to the song. Farah further says, ‘Malaika was nowhere on the radar. We had contacted Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Shilpa Shirodkar and two-three others. One was afraid of the train, one was not available. Then the makeup artist said, ‘Malaika is a very good dancer.’ Let us tell you that the streaming of Malaika Arora’s show ‘Moving in with Malaika’ will start on Disney Plus Hotstar from December 5.
