Liger funding case: Vijay Deverakonda left ED office after 9 hours, told what happened during interrogation

Liger Money Laundering Case Vijay Deverakonda: Vijay Deverakonda, the superstar of South Indian films, was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for more than 9 hours regarding alleged irregularities in the funding of the film Liger. Devarakonda, who came out of the ED office after day-long questioning, spoke to the media and said that the ED had to know about some important things, for which he was summoned. The superstar of South Indian films answered many questions of journalists during this period. Vijay Devarakonda also said in his conversation that he sees this ED inquiry as an experience.

Devarakonda said during a conversation with the media, ‘I came here this morning. He wanted to know some important things from me and I answered all his questions. You guys have given me so much love and with that love I have got a lot of name and fame. When a person gets so much name and fame, then there are some side effects too. This is something that we should take as our life experience. this is life.’

Along with this, he said, ‘I fulfilled my duty when I was called. I came and answered questions. There were no allegations against me. He just wanted clarification on some things which was very much needed.

Let us tell you that the ED had also questioned the film’s director Puri Jagannath and actor-producer Charmy Kaur regarding the funding of the film Liger. In fact, the agency is probing whether there was any violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) in connection with the payment made to former boxer Mike Tyson.

Warangal Congress leader Bakka Judson had lodged a complaint with the ED, alleging that several politicians had invested Rs 125 crore in the film to launder black money into white. It was speculated that the ED was probing the source of funds of all the actors in the sports drama, in which Vijay Deverakonda played the role of a boxer. Ananya Pandey was seen opposite him in the film. The film was released in August this year.
