Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar is in the news these days for his celebrity chat show ‘Koffee With Karan Season 7’. Sidharth Malhotra and Vicky Kaushal, two Punjabi munds from Bollywood, attended the latest episode of Karan Johar’s show. Karan Johar, who often discusses the personal life and career of celebs in his shows, has now spoken openly about his career as well as the filmmaker has described himself as a ‘cheap actor’. Karan Johar says that he has not received any offer as an actor, so that he can tell his fees to anyone.

Awakening In an interview with Karan Johar, he also talked about his career as an actor, from the performance of Bollywood films at the box office at the present time. Karan Johar says that ‘This year has been very difficult for Bollywood. Only three Hindi films Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Jug Jug Jio have managed to do well at the box office. But, Indian cinema has always shone and will continue to shine. This is also a phase, which will pass.

The industry has made so many films so far and shared a lot of love. Have shown so many emotions with love. It is not right that we are being sidelined in a hurry. What happened to a bad year, many more years will come, in which beautiful films will come and these films will rule the box office. I think there is a need to make the content powerful and fun.

While talking about his own acting career, Karan Johar says- ‘I want to take acting very seriously, but I do not know why this is happening to me? (laughs). I have heard that Anurag Kashyap has come, he has made the film again. I will go and ask him why he did not offer me again after Bombay Velvet. I want to tell everyone that I am completely open to acting.

Karan further says- ‘I am very cheap as an actor. I have not got any offer till now so that I can tell my price. If I get an offer, I’ll probably do it for free. But, even my production company itself is not giving me acting opportunities. Anyway, being yourself in your own production company will not be fun.
