Ashutosh Gowariker and Producer Bhushan Kumar have come together for Tulsidas Junior and they are wholeheartedly bringing a sports entertainment film to the audience. Exploring sports like snooker for the first time in the Indian film scene, the makers have been able to pull out the casting coupe. The sports drama set in 1994 brings together the late Rajiv Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, the sons of cinema stalwarts Raj Kapoor and Nargis Dutt.

Talking about the film, producer Ashutosh Gowariker says, “Both Rajeev and Sanjay have a distinguished lineage – whose parents were veteran stars of the 50s and 60s.

Although both the actors did not appear together in their early films. This script allowed us to bring them together, and thankfully both of them agreed.” Also, Tulsidas Jr.’s writer and director Mridul says, “In my youth, my father gave me Mr. Raj Kapoor and Sunil Dutt. Saw a lot of Sahab’s films and now it’s real to have both his juniors in my first film.”
