Mumbai A court on Tuesday granted bail to film critic and actor Kamal R Khan (KRK) in a molestation case. The Versova police had registered a case of molestation against him last year. Even after bail, KRK will remain in jail as the case is pending against him for the controversial tweet. In the year 2020, he made a controversial tweet about Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma. In this case also his bail plea is pending in Borivali Magistrate Court.
His bail plea in the KRK (Kamal R Khan) controversial case is likely to be heard in the Borivali Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Wednesday (September 7). KRK was arrested from the Mumbai International Airport on August 30 for alleged derogatory tweets. He was then produced in the Borivali Magistrate Court where he was sent to judicial custody for 14 days.

In the molestation case, the Versova police took KRK into custody on Sunday and he was produced in the Bandra court. KRK’s lawyers Ashok Sarogi and Jai Yadav, in their bail plea filed before the Bandra Magistrate Court, claimed that the contents of the FIR practically did not match with the alleged molestation incident.

Advocate Jai Yadav told the court that the FIR was registered 18 months after the incident and that too after the victim’s friend told her. He further argued that the Indian Penal Code section against KRK is bailable. The court allowed KRK’s plea.
The woman had accused of touching inappropriately
Let us tell you, in June 2021, based on the complaint of a 27-year-old woman, a case of molestation was registered under sections 354 (A) and 509 of the IPC. The complainant had alleged that KRK had invited her to his bungalow in Versova on the pretext of offering her the lead role in a film. According to the FIR, KRK made her drink alcohol and touched her inappropriately.
