Saawan Kumar Tak Passed Away: Veteran director of Bollywood industry Saawan Kumar Tak is no more. He died of a heart attack on Thursday. He was 86 years old. According to news agency ANI, ‘Sawan Kumar Tak died in Mumbai after prolonged illness. The director was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai and today he suffered a heart attack, which led to his death.

According to media reports, he had diseases related to lungs and heart. He was admitted in the ICU of the hospital. Sawan Kumar was a director as well as a producer, writer and lyricist. He was admitted to the hospital a few days back.

Let us tell you, Sawan Kumar Tak was also known for giving breaks to many critically acclaimed actors like Sanjeev Kumar and Mehmood Jr aka Naeem Sayyed. Sawan produced Naunihal in a low budget. He also wrote its story. Sanjeev Kumar made his Bollywood debut with this film. This film was nominated for the National Award.

Balraj Sahni and Indrani Mukerjea were in lead roles along with Sanjeev Kapoor in Naunihal. The music of the film was given by Madan Mohan. Its songs were written by Kaifi Azmi. Sawan Kumar Tak’s first film as a director was ‘Gomti Ke Kinere’ with Meena Kumari. Mumtaz was also in the lead role along with Meena in this film. The music of the film was given by RD Burman.
