Dilip Joshi’s character Jethalal has become a different identity in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. Today Dilip Joshi is celebrating his birthday. Dilip Joshi has earned a lot of praise in his career so far. He has left no stone unturned to take his character to the doorstep. During a recent interview, he has talked about the roles of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ and ‘Jetha’.

Dilip Joshi said something like this on his role
Dilip Joshi, who plays Jethalal in the show, told ‘indianexpress.com’, ‘God has been kind. We are going to complete 14 years soon. It’s a surreal feeling and I feel like I’m having a dream. It’s unique how people are still loving us. We are just blessed.’ After appearing in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, Dilip Joshi shares how he has known producer Asit Kumar Modi since his college days. He told how Asit Modi did not even audition the actor and offered him the role of Jethalal in the show.

We all managed to create magic: Jethalal
He said, ‘I didn’t believe in Champak and that’s why I chose Jetha. Even this character was very different from what we had read in Taarak Mehta’s column. Asit ji designed Champak in a very different way and shot the show in a society instead of a chawl. The best part was that he got the right actors for each character. Everything went well for the show and we managed to create magic.

Theater shows again for 25 years
The actor said about doing something different, ‘I made Jethalal in Taarak Mehta after doing theater for about 25 years. I have done all kinds of roles so I never felt the need to do anything different. I don’t think anything is left.’ Even though ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ is one of the most-watched shows, a section of the audience critiques it as well. Citing reasons like ‘no fresh content’ and ‘forced humour’, many have demanded that the show should be closed now. But despite all this, Dilip Joshi always likes to look at the positive side more.
