Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards (DPIFF) will be held on 20 February 2022 at Taj Lands End, Mumbai to celebrate the best performance, story and groundbreaking films for the year 2021.
“To celebrate 75 years of Independence and the rich culture of cinema, we are thrilled to announce the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022,” the official announcement posted on DPIFF’s social media handle.
He further wrote, “Book a date to watch the grand event with mega-stars paying tribute to Dadasaheb Phalke, the father of Indian cinema, at Taj Lands End, Mumbai on 20th February 2022.”

Despite the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, Global Cinema continues to deliver exceptional films and series. This is the first time in Indian history that three broad sectors – Indian Film Industry, Indian Television Industry and International Film Fraternity will be honored under one roof. The mission of DPIFF is to develop and promote the art and science of film through education and cross-culture awareness.
The festival will showcase cultural diversity, rich heritage, world famous Indian cuisine, folk dance, folk music, handloom and indigenous beauty.

The organization has incorporated a ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign and has given priority to the domestic talent of the country. Meanwhile, unity in diversity of culture (Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat) is also strongly promoted by the spirit of harmony and fellowship. The award show will honor artists from the Indian film and television industry under various categories. From Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director to Most Versatile Actor, it will cover a wide range of roles to acknowledge the contribution of actors to the world of cinema.
Like last year, this year also there will be nominations under Best Web Series, Best Actor/Actress in Web Series, Best Short Film and Best Documentary.
Meanwhile, there is a lot of excitement about the name of the award winner for outstanding contribution to the film industry. Legendary actor Dharmendra ji was honored with this award last year.
