Ameesha had performed at an event in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh on 23 April. A few hours after her performance, Ameesha tweeted, “Participated in Navchandi Mahotsav 2022 in Khandwa city of Madhya Pradesh yesterday on 23rd April. Very badly organized by Star Flash Entertainment and Mr Arvind Pandey.. I feared for my life but I want to thank the local police for taking very good care of me.’

On Tuesday, one of the organizers of the event, Sunil Jain, a social worker, allegedly filed a complaint against Ameesha that she had taken a huge amount for the event but did not perform within the stipulated time. Moghat police station in-charge Ishwar Singh Chauhan told ‘Times Now’, ‘I was also present there on the day of the program of film actress Ameesha Patel. There was definitely a crowd of people, but there was no indecency. There was no information regarding any other type of apprehension. The actress reached the stage built in the temple premises around 9.30 pm and greeted the audience. Ameesha was supposed to perform for an hour but she left for Indore after just three minutes of performance.

Following the police complaint, Amisha issued a detailed statement clarifying her stand in the matter. “Let me clarify, contrary to the reports about me cheating on a social worker, I attended Navchandi Mahotsav in Madhya Pradesh on 23rd April 2022. The event organized by Star Flash Entertainment and Mr. Arvind Pandey was so badly organized that I was scared. I was never supposed to perform at the event, it was just an appearance that I completed. However, when I reached there I realized that the organizers were playing dirty, things were looking messy and I was not okay with them. I feared for my life and I am thankful to the local police who helped me get out safely when they saw all the evidence in my favor. Such incidents raise questions on humanity but I am happy that good people are also present in this world.

This is not the first time that Ameesha has been caught in a legal trouble. In 2019 filmmaker Ajay Kumar Singh moved the court against him in Ranchi, alleging fraud of 2.5 crores after he borrowed money for his film Desi Magic. Ameesha will next be seen in ‘Gadar 2’, a sequel to her film Gadar. Ameesha and Sunny Deol will reprise their roles as Sakina and Tara Singh. Gadar released in 2001 was a blockbuster. The film depicts the love story of a Sikh truck driver and a Muslim girl.
