From arrest to clean chit, know what happened to Shahrukh and Gauri’s beloved in these 6 months:
2 October 2021 NCB got information about a rave party on Cordelia Cruise ship going from Mumbai to Goa. On the basis of that, NCB made a plan to raid and the team reached there. NCB raided the cruise, in which Shahrukh’s son Aryan Khan, his friend Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha among 8 others were apprehended. That night i.e. on October 2, all the accused were kept in the custody of NCB.3 October 2021 A case was registered against Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha. After arresting the three, the NCB produced them before the magistrate court. After the production, the court sent the three accused to the custody of NCB for one day.
4 October 2021 The three accused (Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha) along with other accused were produced again in the magistrate court. The NCB claimed to have found evidence of drugs chat and international drug smuggling from Aryan’s phone. Based on this, the court sent the three accused to NCB custody for 7 days.
7 October 2021 When the hearing was held in the court, the NCB demanded to increase the custody of Aryan, Arbaaz and Munmun. But instead of giving custody, the court sent all three to judicial custody. Aryan Khan was sent to Arthur Road Jail on the same day. Aryan Khan’s lawyer Satish Manshinde moved the court on the same day for Shahrukh’s son’s bail.
8 October 2021 Satish Manshinde applied for Aryan Khan’s bail in the magistrate’s court. Along with this, the lawyers of Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha had also applied for bail. But the court rejected the bail applications of all three. After this, the lawyers of Aryan, Arbaaz and Munmun, the three lawyers had applied for bail in the sessions court.

9 October 2021 Aryan Khan’s bail was heard in the Sessions Court, in which Satish Manshinde, appearing for Aryan, said that no drugs have been recovered from him. The hearing was then adjourned till October 11. The court had asked NCB to file its reply on 13 October 2021.
13 October 2021 The NCB filed its reply in the Sessions Court. The decision on Aryan’s bail application was reserved till October 14. Further hearing in the matter took place on October 14. In this, the lawyers of the three accused i.e. Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha along with NCB gave their arguments. But after the hearing, the court reserved the decision till 20 October 2021.
20 October 2021 The bail plea of Aryan, Arbaaz and Munmun was rejected in the special NDPS court hearing. After this his lawyers applied for bail in the Bombay High Court.
21 October 2021 Shahrukh had reached Arthur Road Jail to meet son Aryan Khan before the hearing began in the Bombay High Court. He talked to the son for some time and then left from there. Aryan’s talk with Shahrukh was made by the jail officials over the phone.
26 October to 28 October 2021 Till the hearing of the three accused on bail was held for three consecutive days. Justice Nitin Sambre, after hearing all the arguments of both the sides, granted bail to the three. Earlier, Satish Manshinde was fighting Aryan’s case. After that the command of the case came in the hands of Amit Desai. But when the case reached the Bombay High Court, Aryan was defended by former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi.
29 October 2021 Aryan Khan was supposed to get released but due to delay in filling personal bond of one lakh, signing bail bond and other paper work, the release got postponed. Due to this the release order also reached Arthur Road Jail late.
30 October 2021 Advocate Satish Manshinde reached Arthur Road Jail early in the morning with the release order and Aryan was released from jail at around 11 am. Shahrukh Khan’s bodyguard went inside the jail to take his handover.

15 December 2021: Aryan Khan was granted bail from the Bombay High Court on October 30 with 13 conditions, under which he had to attend the NCB office every Friday from 11 am to 2 pm. Not only this, Aryan Khan was not even allowed to meet friend Arbaaz Merchant or other people. The ban was imposed. Aryan Khan had filed a petition in the Bombay High Court to relax the bail conditions. It was demanded that since the case has now been handed over to the SIT from NCB Delhi, they should be exempted from demanding attendance every Friday. Accepting this petition, the Bombay High Court on 15 December 2021 gave the verdict in favor of Aryan Khan.
January 2022: As per the condition of the bail, Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchant could neither meet nor talk to each other. Arbaaz Merchant had decided to file a petition in the court regarding this condition so that this condition could be waived. In this regard, Arbaaz’s father Salim Merchant told ETimes in January 2022 that his son is missing Aryan a lot. He will soon present an application in this matter in the court.
