In a conversation with Times Now, Anupam Kher says- ‘At present I am not a part of mainstream cinema of India. Due to which I am not working with famous filmmakers of Bollywood like Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala and Aditya Chopra. The reason behind this is that I have not received any offer from these stalwarts. There was a time when I used to be dear to all of them.
Anupam Kher further said- ‘I have worked in the films of all these filmmakers as an actor. But, when these people stopped casting me in their films, I found a different path and turned to South Cinema. Apart from this, the height of Sooraj Barjatya has also been done. Once upon a time, all of them were my close and good friends. But, now the time has changed. He doesn’t take me in his films anymore. I don’t have any complaints about them, but I am sorry. Someone has rightly said, when all the roads are closed, small windows and doors show you the way.
