Giving a health update of Annu Kapoor, the hospital administration said, “Eminent actor and singer Annu Kapoor was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital today (Thursday) morning.” Dr. Ajay Swaroop, Chairman (Board of Management) of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital said, “Annu Kapoor was admitted for chest discomfort. He was treated in cardiology under the supervision of Dr. Sushant Wattal.

Dr. Ajay Swaroop further said, “At present his condition is stable and he is improving.” Annu Kapoor is 66 years old. He has been a radio jockey, actor, singer, and TV host. He has worked in more than 100 films and TV shows. He has been active in the acting world for more than 4 decades.

Annu Kapoor has won several awards including 2 National Film Awards, 1 Filmfare Award and 2 Indian Television Academy Awards in different categories in his 4-decade career. Annu Kapoor made her Bollywood debut with Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor starrer ‘Kala Patthar’. After this he worked in art and commercial films like ‘Betab’, ‘Mandi’, ‘Aadharshila’ and ‘Khandar’.

Annu Kapoor got popularity from the film ‘Utsav’ in the year 1984. He worked in superhit and successful films like ‘Mr India’, ‘Tezaab’, ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Ghayal’, ‘Hum’, ‘Darr’ and ‘Jolly LLB 2’.
