Mumbai. It has been in discussion since the change of power in Britain. Indian-origin Rishi Sunak has been elected as the new Prime Minister. Liz Truss, who became the first Prime Minister, has resigned from the post of PM within 45 days. After Rishi Sunak became the PM, he is getting congratulations from all over the world. Amitabh Bachchan has also congratulated Rishi Sunak in a special way.

Congratulations in a special way

Amitabh Bachchan on Tuesday praised Rishi Sunak for becoming the first Indian-origin prime minister of the United Kingdom. Big B posted a picture of himself in a gray hoodie and track pants on Instagram. He wrote in the caption, ‘Jai Bharat’. ‘Now Britain has a new Viceroy from the Motherland as its Prime Minister’. Like Truss, Rishi is also the leader of the Conservative Party of Britain, it is a proud moment for everyone in India as he has become the first Indian-origin Prime Minister of Britain.

Rishi born to parents of Indian origin

Sunak is an alumnus of Oxford and Stanford University. He was born in Southampton to parents of Indian origin who had moved to Britain from East Africa. He is married to Akshata Murthy, daughter of Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy.

Meanwhile, Bachchan is currently hosting the quiz-based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 14’. He was also seen in ‘Alvida’ with Rashmika Mandanna, ‘Brahmastra’ and his next film will be ‘Uchai’ starring Boman Irani and Anupam Kher.

What is the meaning of Big B’s comment
Actually Amitabh Bachchan has taunted the British rule by adding the Viceroy. Actually Britain ruled India for a long time. The Queen of England used to rule India by appointing the Governor-General in India. The Governor-General was responsible for the governance and administration of India. This post was changed to Viceroy. The Viceroy used to be the chief officer of Britain who ruled over the Indians. Amitabh Bachchan has taken a jibe at this post.
