Four movies in 2022
Four films of Akshay Kumar are ready for release in 2022. Will start with Bachchan Pandey on Holi. After this, preparations are on for the release of Prithviraj in June, Raksha Bandhan in August and Ram Setu on Diwali. Although Akshay Kumar was supposed to start this year with the release of Prithviraj, the film got postponed due to Corona. Prithviraj is now releasing on 3rd June.
ready for clash
At the same time, Akshay Kumar is also preparing for Superstar Clash with his films. While Prithviraj is going to clash with Boney Kapoor’s Ajay Devgn film Maidan on June 3, Akshay Kumar’s Aanand L Rai film Rakshabandhan will clash with Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha on the weekend of August 15. Earlier, Akshay Kumar was supposed to clash with Prabhas – Kriti Sanon – Saif Ali Khan starrer Adipurush but then Aamir Khan took Adipurush’s date for his film.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is completing the shooting of his films. While he has recently wrapped up a schedule of shooting for Ratsasan remake in Shimla, on the other hand he has started shooting for Dharma Productions’ Driving License remake. Apart from this, he is also completing the work of Oh My God 2 and Ram Setu very fast.
not announced but project in hand
There are still some projects of Akshay Kumar which may not have been announced but Akshay Kumar is doing those films. One of these films is Surrai Potri remake, which Paresh Rawal has confirmed that this film is being made. With this film, Akshay Kumar will once again be back in his patriotic avatar. Apart from this, Akshay Kumar’s name is also being associated with Hera Pheri 3 and Housefull 5.
Captured on OTT as well
Akshay Kumar was the first superstar who made his debut on OTT while releasing his film Laxmi on Disney Hotstar. While Lakshmi broke viewership records, Akshay Kumar’s second OTT release Atrangi Re made the records rain. However, with this Aanand L Rai film, Akshay Kumar appeared to the audience only in a supporting role.
