I won’t make sequels just to make money
Although no film of Subhash has come for a long time. Be it the music or the filming or the story of ‘Taal’, everything is so beautifully composed that people want to watch ‘Taal 2’. While talking on this a few years ago, Subhash Ghai had made a condition that I will make the second part only when I get a great story from the first part. Subhash Ghai had said that most filmmakers cash in on the success of their previous films. I believe that if the story of a good film is better then there is no harm in making it, but without a good story, making a film just to earn money at the box office is cheating the audience. I always believe in making good films with fresh stories. That’s why I will make ‘Taal 2’ only when I get a better story than ‘Taal’.

Subhash Ghai is not called showman like this
Today, the Hindi film industry is worried about its continuous beating films. In such a situation, a lot should also be learned from the old and veteran filmmakers-directors. Subhash Ghai is considered a director who, before making his films, keeps a groove in his mind about who will be the actor-actress from story, music. Something similar happened when he decided to make ‘Taal’.

Anil Kapoor got a chance after Govinda refused
Aishwarya Rai and Akshay were in the lead role in this film but wanted to take Govinda as supporting actor. When Govinda refused for some reason, Subhash offered the role to many other actors. When things did not work out with two-three actors, he finally offered to Anil Kapoor and he signed the film. The song ‘Ramta Jogi’, one of the hit songs of the film, was filmed on him and became such a hit that Anil is still remembered for that song.
