Thalapathy Vijay’s highly anticipated film, “Leo,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has unveiled a glimpse video on the occasion of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt’s birthday. In the video, Dutt is introduced as Antony Das, a powerful ruler who is followed by everyone. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj shared the video on Twitter, wishing Dutt a happy birthday and expressing his pleasure in working with him. The 37-second video showcases Antony Das as a deadly and ruthless character, smoking a cigarette with a phone near his ear. The video ends with the villain waving at someone with a devilish smile. It is noteworthy that Antony Das represents an eagle in the film, which has heightened fans’ excitement to see Dutt as an antagonist again after his outstanding performance in KGF 2.
It has been exclusively revealed that Sanjay Dutt will be portraying the role of Thalapathy Vijay’s father in “Leo.” Although the character is described as a father on paper, it is essentially a gangster role. Both Dutt and Vijay will be seen as gangsters in the film and will share a unique dynamic. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, “Leo” is said to be part of his Cinematic Universe, although official confirmation is still awaited. The film’s first look was released last month and received a tremendous response from the audience.
Apart from Sanjay Dutt and Thalapathy Vijay, “Leo” also features an ensemble cast including Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Mansoor Ali Khan. The music and original score for the film are composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while Manoj Paramahamsa serves as the director of photography. Produced by Lalit Kumar under the banner Seven Screen Studios, “Leo” is scheduled for theatrical release on October 19, 2023.
In addition to his role in “Leo,” Sanjay Dutt has also joined the cast of the film “Double iSmart” alongside Ram Pothineni. Dutt’s first look as Big Bull in the film has been revealed, showcasing his fierce avatar. This has further added to the anticipation surrounding his upcoming projects.
