Karisma Kapoor’s Kids Remember Late Father Sunjay Kapur on His Birth Anniversary
Actor Karisma Kapoor shared an emotional post as her children, Samaira and Kiaan Kapur, remembered their late father Sunjay Kapur on his birth anniversary. Sunjay passed away on June 12, reportedly due to a heart attack while playing polo in London, United Kingdom.
Karisma’s Emotional Post
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Karisma posted a photo of a cake placed on the table with the words, “Happy Birthday, Dad.” The actor added a white heart emoji to the post, symbolizing love and remembrance.

Karisma’s sister, Kareena Kapoor Khan, reshared the post on her own Instagram Stories, writing a touching note:
“My Samu and Kiu, Dad is protecting you always and forever ”
Priya Sachdev Also Pays Tribute
Sunjay’s wife, Priya Sachdev, also remembered him with an emotional tribute. She posted a heartfelt note on Instagram, saying:
“Today I feel his loss very deeply! Sunjay’s loss leaves a heartache in me no one can heal .”
Priya also shared a video montage featuring moments with Sunjay, herself, and his children, along with a quote from the Bhagavad Gita:

About Sunjay and Karisma’s Family
Sunjay Kapur, the chairman of Sona Comstar, married Karisma Kapoor in 2003. The couple welcomed daughter Samaira in 2005 and son Kiaan in 2011. However, they filed for divorce in 2014, which was finalized in 2016.
After their separation, Sunjay married Priya Sachdev, with whom he had a son, Azarias.
Ongoing Legal Dispute
Currently, Karisma’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, have initiated legal proceedings against Priya Sachdev, alleging forgery of Sunjay’s will. The case, filed in the Delhi High Court, accuses Priya of presenting a forged document during a family meeting held on July 30.
The children, through their mother Karisma as legal guardian, claim that Sunjay had repeatedly assured them of their rightful share, which was missing from the final will. The case is still under judicial review.
