The Hurun Research Institute has released the Hurun India Rich List 2025, highlighting India’s wealthiest individuals across business, entertainment, sports, and industry. A major update this year is Shah Rukh Khan becoming a billionaire for the first time, marking a significant milestone in Bollywood’s financial landscape.
According to Hurun, Shah Rukh Khan’s net worth has jumped from $870 million to $1.4 billion (₹12,490 crore), making him India’s richest celebrity and arguably the wealthiest actor globally whose main income is cinema. The combined wealth of Bollywood’s top stars listed by Hurun now totals an astonishing ₹25,950 crore.

1.Shah Rukh Khan – ₹12,490 crore
2.Juhi Chawla & Family – ₹7,790 crore
3.Hrithik Roshan – ₹2,160 crore
4.Karan Johar & Family – ₹1,880 crore
5.Bachchan Family (Amitabh, Jaya, Abhishek & Aishwarya Rai) – ₹1,630 crore
Juhi Chawla, despite being less active in films, surpasses many current stars to become India’s richest actress. Hrithik Roshan’s fortune is largely attributed to his successful brand HRX, while Karan Johar’s wealth comes from Dharma Productions and Dharmatic Entertainment.
Interestingly, some major Bollywood stars including Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and even filmmaker Aditya Chopra did not feature in this year’s top 5 list.
